Community of Support

PADS is an organization that counts on support from all different parts of the community.  These groups combine to make our own community of support.

They include Corporations; Foundations; Religious, Community Organizations & Schools; Government; United Way; and Individuals.

There are many ways in which your company can support PADS:

  • PADS Annual Sponsorship – We are seeking strong corporate partners to make an annual financial investment in PADS. We will happily work with you to develop a customized Annual Sponsorship Package that best suits your business needs, while providing critical financial resources needed to meet the growing demand for PADS services.

  • PADS Event Sponsorship – PADS’ Event Sponsorship provides an opportunity for your company to receive exposure and recognition through all of PADS’ marketing and communications vehicles during a PADS hosted event.

  • Company Fundraiser – Get your employees involved in charitable giving for PADS by holding a company sponsored fundraiser and donating the proceeds to PADS.

  • Employee Matching Gift Program – Match employee contributions to PADS to increase the impact of the gift.

  • United Way Campaign Designee – If your company participates in an Annual United Way Campaign, designate a percentage of total funds raised to PADS.

  • Company In-Kind Goods and/or Services Sponsorship – PADS relies heavily on in-kind donations of goods and services in order to ensure that every dollar possible goes directly to our vital programs. In addition to the routine items listed on our Wish List, we have a list of some “big ticket” needs, which is available by contacting the Development Office.

We are also looking to partner with businesses able to provide on-going pro-bono services such as printing and repetitive needs like school, office and cleaning supplies, paper goods and utensils, etc.

You can also volunteer!  Encourage your employees to become a PADS volunteer. In addition, companies often match employee volunteer hours with a monetary gift as a further employee incentive.

Thank You, Sponsors!

 Foundation Support

There are many ways in which your organization can support PADS:

Organization Fundraiser – Get your members involved in charitable giving for PADS by holding an organization sponsored fundraiser and donating the proceeds to PADS. Religious institutions may also support PADS through student service and mitzvah project fundraisers.

Organization In-Kind Goods Donations – PADS relies heavily on in-kind donations of goods in order to ensure that every dollar possible goes directly to our vital programs. Running clothing, basic needs, or food drives at your school or organization is a great way to get involved and provide PADS clients with important basic needs.

Volunteerism – Encourage your members or students to become a PADS volunteer. Students can earn service credits to fulfill school requirements. We also have volunteer opportunities at our emergency shelter sites.

Other local United Ways provide support to PADS through individual giving programs.

The United Way of Lake County is responsible for Find Help Lake County (Find Help), which serves as the only single point of access that connects Lake County residents with local, non-profit health and human service providers that address the physical, emotional, mental, economic, social well-being, and educational needs of individuals in our community.

Information on services can be found in the Find Help Lake County Guide and in the online searchable database,  The Find Help Lake County Guide is intended to help individuals in need obtain basic information about available local services.

Every year, we receive many generous gifts from so many people in the community who want to make a difference.  You never quite know where the inspiration to give to PADS comes from for any particular individual, but you know that each donor has a compassion for others.

One gift in particular continues to stand out in PADS history.  An envelope came to us and inside it was two wrinkled dollar bills and a handwritten note.  The note said “Please use this to help the homeless.  I don’t have much, but wanted to share what I could.”

There was no return address, no way of knowing where this gift came from.  But we were all so touched by this gesture.  We don’t know who this individual is, or what their inspiration was for giving.  But it was a great reminder for us about our donors.  However much they may have or however much they may give, they do it with a pure heart and an intent to help.  They share what they can.  And we thank all of them for sharing with the people we serve.
